The Event
The race is designed to challenge professional cyclists, cycling clubs, and enthusiastic amateurs alike.
The event spans over two days.
On the first day, it features a professional UCI Race Event with two qualification routes for the UCI Gravel World Series: 110 km for the age group 60+ (men) and 50+ (women), and 155 km for the age group 19-59 (men) and 19-49 (women).
On the second day, the “Gravel Gourmet Experience” invites all who are interested to participate in one of three different routes: 25 km, 70 km, and 110 km. Each route traverses the stunning and unique nature of the Blåvandshuk area, including Blåvand and Vejers, and visits between 1-5 local restaurants offering refreshments. There are no specific requirements for these cycling routes, so participants can use anything from mountain bikes to e-bikes.
Throughout the weekend, Vejers and the surrounding area will be buzzing with cycling energy. There will be stalls and music at both the start and finish lines, and local shops and restaurants will remain open. Vejers will be adorned with bicycles and flags, with activities planned for both adults and children. It's the perfect opportunity to visit Vejers with family, friends, or your cycling club and experience an exciting cycling weekend. If you're interested in joining one of the thrilling routes or simply enjoying the cycling festivities, it's ideal to book a stay in one of the many beautiful holiday homes. These homes offer ample space for family and friends, with secure indoor storage for bikes. Many also provide locked and insulated sheds or storage rooms, ensuring your bike is kept safe. Most of these holiday homes are located close to Vejers and the surrounding area, giving you a unique chance to experience the event up close.
