Vejers Viking Mini Golf, the very own course of Die Hyggelige Dänen, has been inviting guests to enjoy fun experiences since 2019 – for both kids and adults spending their holidays along the West Coast. The course is inspired by the local history and features 12 holes, each with unique shapes, obstacles, and levels of difficulty. Whether you're playing with friends, grandparents, or your whole family, you're guaranteed laughter, coziness, and fierce competition.

Possibly the Most Beautiful Mini Golf Course on the West Coast

Vejers Viking Mini Golf is designed with a focus on the area's history. As you make your way through the course, you'll encounter funny figures, small houses, buildings, and other landmarks from Vejers. The entrance building is an exact replica of the old rescue station located just outside the town of Vejers Strand. Halfway through, you can greet a friendly fisherman, play on his playground, and climb his old esehytte – a type of hut fishermen once used when working along the coast. You’ll also come across a sea mark, a lighthouse, and much more.

The lanes are separated by gravel paths and mostly covered in artificial grass, so it feels like you're standing on real turf. A narrow, cozy stream runs through the course – symbolizing the stream in Vejers – and can be crossed via a charming wooden bridge. If you need a break, benches are placed throughout the area, and toilet facilities are available in the entrance building. Once you're done playing, you can take a fun souvenir photo on the winner’s podium for first, second, and third place.

Practical Information

The mini golf course is located at Vejers Havvej 14, just 200 meters down the road from Die Hyggelige Dänen’s office and right across from the Vejers supermarket and gas station. The central location means that it will take no more than 10 minutes by bike to reach the course – no matter where your holiday home in Vejers is.

From Monday to Saturday, you must pay the entrance fee at Die Hyggelige Dänen’s office at Vejers Havvej 12, where you’ll also receive golf clubs, balls, and scorecards. This must be done during office hours between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. (Note: The course opens at 2:00 PM on Saturdays.) On Sundays, you pay and collect your equipment directly at Vejers Viking Mini Golf, Vejers Havvej 14.

Opening Hours of Vejers Viking Mini Golf:

  • Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM

  • Saturday: 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM

  • Sunday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Unless otherwise announced on Die Hyggelige Dänen’s Facebook page, the course is closed for the winter from October 1st to March 31st.

Prices

Children 0–6 years: free

Children 7–15 years: 40 DKK

Adults 16–99 years: 75 DKK

Rules

Here are the most common mini golf rules:

  • Only use the club you receive at check-in to hit the ball.
  • Each hole starts from a marked starting area. The first stroke must be taken from this spot.

  • Each stroke counts as one point. Once the ball is in the hole, you record the total number of strokes on the scorecard.

  • You have a maximum of 6 strokes per hole. If the ball isn’t in the hole after 6 strokes, mark down 7 points and move on.

  • If the ball leaves the lane, place it back at the spot where it exited.

  • The player with the lowest score at the end of the course wins!
